Life on the gas giant. by lassekongo83 Life on the gas giant. by lassekongo83
Something old that I created a couple of months ago. I have a couple of other drawings that look better I think, but they aren't finished atm.

This was made using a hard brush and the smudge tool, well 90% smudge tool. ;)

They almost look like bio-ships. A biologic ship, half organic half mechanical.

Very nice, I have to say.

if you have ever watched the series on the history channel on the universe the had sumthin about if life could exist in our solar system what would it look like and a guy that works at an observatory did a rendering about if life was on Jupiter it would more than likely resemble hot air balloons and be more like a plant type creature did you get ur inspiration from that? if not then you my friend are a genius

I've heard of strange jellyfish creatures from different documentaries and sci-fi books. But my orignal idea for this one was to create some technology first. But when the texturing of the "ships" (that now are those lifeforms) turned out to be quite hard I skipped that part, and this is what it became. :D

This strongly remind me of one novel of Dan Simmons (don't remember the title, sorry :)), am I wrong?

Well there's a big passage in wich the hero travel trough different worlds, and in one of these there's some big squids in a gas giant...
