...or hate for those who can't use it.
TITS OR GTFO...err I MEAN, READ OR GTFO!
THIS THEME IS MANUAL FOR EXPERIENCED GNOME USERS ONLY
- You need to know how to use gconf-editor and how to change icons.
- You need to know how to edit images to fit your screen resolution.
- You may need to know a little bit more about Gnome, life and all those little details that I'm bad at explaining.
- If anything screws up on the interface it's your own fault. Always backup and remember previous settings.
How to use
1. Edit the images in the Graphics folder to your screen resolution and then paste them on your wallpaper of choice.
2. Apply the GTK theme and Emerald theme. Set your panel height to 26px and the background to solid with an opaque of 0. Then remove all applets in the panel and add a single main menu button on the left and perhaps a shutdown button on the right (optional, it can be any applet you want). In between there you can add a dock or dockbarx.
3. Change the main menu icon in gnconf-editor. Apps > Panel > Object > Object_0. Select "use custom icon" and then add the path to the start-here.png in "custom icon path". The shutdown icon is harder to change. Usally you'll need to backup and replace your gnome-shutdown.png icon in your icon set. (In the 24x24/apps folder probably.)

Conky: Photoshopped. Just search google for horizontal conky and you'll probably find something.
Yes, I am having some fun with faking gnome-panel by integrating the graphics in the wallpaper. The gnome-panel developers should do something about their creation and allow designers to use alpha transparent png files with sizing-margins so we can create themes that are easier to use. But that will probably never happen. I just felt that I could do something different this time by working around the limitations in Gnome.
