Trying to style KDE 4.5.5 that is. It's harder than Windows 7 to customize. The only thing I've managed to create is a simple qtcurve theme. I'm also using my old Zuki Blues emerald theme through Smaragd.
I'm annoyed by the small details that I can't change. Just a simple thing like hiding the statusbar in Dolphin, or to change the padding between some graphics etc. I can't even see the height of the panel when I customize it. Everything is just too clunky to customize. The KDE devs should really make an app that can create themes for their desktop. They should also allow more customization option in their applications.

I allways download your themes and try to use them on KDE (Qt can handle gtk themes pretty well, but not perfect, there are some incompatible widgets)... maybe you shoul talk with the Oxygen team, they are the ones who are in charge of KDE look and feel, your themes are really beautiful and it would be amazing to be able to use them on KDE applications
I couldn't agree more with you .... I tried using QT Stylesheets, had some good results in the looking though (see [link]), but it's behaving much slower, and can be quite unpredictable.
Are you crazy? If this isn't beautiful enough already then I don't know what is. I just tried KDE 4.6 today after someone reminded me of it, it is what you said but its definitely fun. Shame, it was better than Gnome for management skills but with Gnome Shell coming, I'm afraid KDE hasn't got a lead anymore.
Yeah, KDE4.x is frustratingly hard to customise for. Shame really, because ultimately there is a LOT of potential if you know what you're doing. Check out ~Th3R0b's recent KDE4.x shots, for example.

That's NOT a reliable solution at the moment
